The unit is nice and big. Just a little dark when it's laodshedding, but the owner brought his solar light for us. Loadshedding slows down the WiFi, but it was still available.
Would recommend to anyone looking for basic overnight accommodation.
Too much noise from the area, until early morning.
The place was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the village, especially dining at Marilyns. We enjoyed our chats with our host, Shane. We will definitely be back soon.

Received by a untidy co-owner. Some light bulbs ddn't work. Living area dark and gloomy with no outside windows. Bed lamp without lampshade and the electrical plug does not fit into the wall plug. Smelly kennels at front door and porch. There is only 1 outside door. Very small fan that is totally inefficient while the day and night were very hot. This is the first place where inspection is done before you can leave. Never again!
Bathroom filthy and tatty, linen had burn holes. Walls paper thin and had to hear other guests playing at 2 in the morning. Host very pleasant but accommodation not good!
Look forward to our next visit and recommend Imka to anyone who wants to listen.

The rondavel is very simplistic with old tired bedding and towels, the shower was strong with hot water. Everything was nice and clean with a friendly welcome. After walking the Otter trail, a bed and hot shower were very welcome.
Cute little place with everything you will need. Very quiet and close to everything. We really enjoyed our two nights there.
The place to stay is pretty neat, people are friendly and the area is nice, for an overnight stay it's nice.
The place was a nice home away from home. The rondavels were nice and chilled in Tsitsikamma's tropical weather. The owners are a very nice couple that makes you feel at home and safe. I would recommend this place to anyone travelling to Tsitsikamma.

We stayed in the Storms River village for three days and can highly recommend Serenity Retreat. It was clean and spacious, and provided the peaceful atmosphere we were looking for.
The continuous communication and directions by LekkeSlaap were friendly and very helpful. Reception at Serenity was very friendly, as well as advice on attractions. The rondavel as well as the kitchen are well equipped and very tidy with all necessities. Although not luxurious, it was perfect for us who just wanted neat, affordable accommodation. Wish there were more affordable, unadorned accommodations like this for the budget-conscious traveler. Many thanks to Kitty and Danny, we had a great time!

For a peaceful break away from the "hustle and bustle" of cities, Serenity Retreat was just the right choice. We stayed in Serenity House and it was an experience that will stay with us forever. Danny and Kitty were very friendly and accessible for anything we would need.

We were so warmly welcomed from the moment we booked. The rondavels are in the garden, they have everything you need, and although Serenity is close to the heart of the village, it is quiet and definitely serene. It was extremely well situated for us to do the tree top canopy tour. I would definitely use them again.
Lovely, spacious accommodation with everything you need for a night or a week in the stunning Storm's River village. Would not hesitate to book again. Only one small suggestion that the kitchen needs brighter lighting but otherwise perfect and peaceful. Thanks for the warm doggy welcome.
We found Serenity Retreat easily and were met by Kitty with a warm welcome. It was comfortable and clean, just what we needed. The kitchen facilities were good.
